What does freedom mean to me?

To me freedom means being what we really are and letting our souls set themselves free in a world where everyone is tied to the rope of being what they are not. Freedom according to me is when we let ourselves shine even when there is darkness, when the sun is asleep. As a son, I've always been told that boys are less prone to attacks and that girls shouldn't be given much "freedom" as they can get their lives spoiled way too quickly. But gallivanting around the streets is not real freedom. Late night parties and having a girlfriend is not real freedom. According to me, *freedom lies in being bold.* Unless we are bold, we can not save ourselves from being eaten up by a demon of miseries who resides in this world. As a student in school, liberty doesn't mean I can go to washroom even when the teacher is teaching. Freedom in my school and as a student means that I can choose Humanities even when my parents want me to become an IITian. Freedom to me means I can play chess even when everyone wants me to play that laborious basketball. Freedom, if I sum up, means I can be who I really want to be and choose a career against all odds. Plainly put, I don't care about the disadvantages it brings. If I take a wrong step towards my future, I won't regret. Not because it's such a pointless emotion, but only because God has made me the king of my life. Every negative outcome of my freedom decides how near I am to that particular milestone of life which tells me, "Don't give up! You are going to win this game! "Just like there used to be kingdoms in ancient eras, today, every daughter, every son, every wife, every husband and every single being on this planet wants to live in a kingdom where it's initial four letters are replaced by a beautiful word, "free". Where they can actually gift oxygen to their souls.
