NOSTALGIA : MELANCHOLIC OR GRATIFYING? Are you fascinated by the incomprehensible prowess of our brain to trap a certain memory in some trench of itself and then one random day , you are reminded of it and the feelings that accompany it hit you like a waft of wind , leaving you utterly gobsmacked ?! Oh! Such is nostalgia. For us 12thees , this year brings with itself a plethora of emotions as we finally begin our last school year. Even the thought of stepping out of these familar corridors feels implausible. One question I'm nowadays stuck with is, how did these 12-13 years pass in a blink of an eye. I can vividly remember my first day in this quadrangle, leaving the junior wing and becoming part of the seniors' clan. Oh, how unfathomable is the might of time !!! Oh my beloved nostalgia , I thank you for reigniting the 'lost' memories time and again. Recently, on account of my brother's PTM, I visited the now class IV-F ( which once was V-B , my class ) . Stepping into that class, MY CLASS , filled me with so many unexpoundable emotions , but nostalgia overpowered everything! Scoldings , homeworks , giggles , teachings , everything was in front of my eyes and I adorned myself with the biggest grin ever ! Feeling those benches filled me with a sense of pride , in 'growing up' but the reality of finally 'growing up' and having to leave the school hit me hard ! My beloved nostalgia , I am truly in awe of your flair , yet very much befudded. It is unfair to show us the might of time in such a didactic modus operandi ? Gratifying ? Indeed ( with a dash of sorrow). Written by: Divyanshu Choudhary, Head Boy
