Farewell ’24
A farewell is an act of parting or making someone's departure. On 3rd February, St. Anne's School bid farewell to their 2023-24 class 12 students. Their school lives were concluded with a joyful and eventful year and a heartwarming goodbye.
The event began with the lighting of the lamp by our Principal, Dr. John Abraham, along Tessy ma'am, Mrs J Aparna ma'am and Rosemary Chand ma'am. This was followed by a speech by our Head Boy and our Head Girl.
Our Principal, then, gave away the awards for academic proficiency in science, commerce and humanities. In science stream, the first, second and third position were secured, respectively, by Agrima Agarwal, Vidhi Ajmera and Disha Bhandari & Jagat Kela. In commerce stream, the award went to Mahak Jain and Kumkum Rajpurohit. In humanities, the first, second and third position were secured, respectively, by Vidisha Jangid, Anjali Choudhary and Kashish Rathore.
The award for Best Student was secured by two students, Mahak Jain and Agrima Agarwal and the award for Best All Rounder came into possession of Vidisha Jangid.
Our Principal Sir, thereafter, addressed the students, reflecting his concerns regarding the unreal pressure on students preparing for competitive examinations and highlighted the value of non academic achievements. Sir also brought into light the glorious achievements of the girls of St. Anne's, stating the fact that most of the awards in academic excellence were in their possession.
The students of class 11 came up next with their performances to show their affection towards their seniors. All 6 sections of class 11 performed individually, pouring their heart into their agile, graceful and aerobic dances.
Later on, our teacher, Dr. Dushyant Solanki, surprised the audience with his energetic dance performance. The floor was then open to the teachers and the students to dance and make merry. The programme was concluded with a hearty buffet.
This day is made special every year for class 12 by the hard work of the students of class 11 and the teachers. Our bold and confident class 12 students will be missed by their teachers and juniors, who sent them on to their adventurous journey into a world which brings with it, hardships and rewards.
