Feast Day 2024-Report (for senior school)

  • Tue,30 Jul 2024

On 26th July, St. Anne’s celebrated its 44th Feast Day. On this joyous occasion, a Costume Show was organised for classes IX, X, XI and XII on the theme ‘Blend of Tradition with Modernity’.

As always, the event began with seeking the blessings of the Almighty. Then, the school toppers in X and XII Board Examination 2024 Kanishka Rajpurohit and Agrima Agarwal (who is also the city topper in science stream), respectively, were called upon to receive their medals for academic excellence. This was followed by a speech by our principal, Dr John Abraham, who appreciated the diligence of the students in achieving great heights. As 26th July is observed as the Kargil Vijay Diwas, our Principal Sir remembered the martyrs and expressed gratitude for the sacrifices of our soldiers; the loss of over 500 lives that our country is indebted to.

The Costume Show began with a performance by the first group of class IX, followed by class groups of X, XI and XII. All the students presented a wonderful fusion of traditional costumes from all over our richly diverse nation. The students were judged on the basis of cultural representation, presentation and styling, innovation in fusion and creativity and originality. X-E, F, G & H secured the first position, the second position was secured by IX-A, B, C, D and IX-E, F, G & H and XI-C & XI-D secured third.

Lastly, Heeya Sinha and Mann Sharma gave an amazing musical performance to conclude the event.

This feast day was a celebration of years of excellence, of shaping young minds and of creating a safe and nurturing environment for our bright students. We hope to keep celebrating this day year after year with more and more enthusiasm and joy.
