ENGLISH ELOCUTION COMPETITION 2024 (VI to VIII)

It is rightly said that talent is everywhere but it is only needs opportunity. Our students wait for the right opportunity to showcase their talent, we believe that right talent always meets right opportunity. An elocution competition at the school level gives students an opportunity to combat one of the biggest fears i.e. stage fright. It also allows the competitors to connect with the audience and to understand the concept of articulation and voice modulation. The English Elocution Competition was organized for the students of classes VI, VII and VIIInot only todevelop confidence in studentsbut also to overcome the feeling of stage fright and understand the essential elements of public speaking.The poem recited by the students were insightful and inspiring. The students of Class VI recited poems that were written by famous English poets while Class VII recited moral poems. The poems recited by the students of Class VIII highlighted the importance of peace.

The event began with the introduction of the judges who were the teachers from across the school.The students participated with passion, conviction and enthusiasm. All the participants performed exceptionally well, winning accolades. They were judged on the parameters of – confidence, memory and pronunciation. On the completion of the recitation session the judges were invited to speak a few words of advice for improvement and of encouragement. The young and gifted orators had won the hearts of the judges. This was followed by the announcement of the result among thunderous applauding. The talent of the young orators made the event memorable.
