On the eve of Children's Day 14th November 2024, Class XII, History students were taken for Heritage Venture to explore their own native city, Jodhpur. They saw the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort which means 'Fort of the Sun'. They saw the Mehrangarh Museum which has many different galleries that showcase different types of artifacts and artworks like palanquins, Elephant's Howdahs, weapons, ornaments, costumes, turbans, armoury etc. Students went to Chamunda Mataji Temple- seeking blessings for good health and protection from evil. While exploring the historical monuments of Jodhpur, Jaswant Thara, a dazzling white marble cenotaph also known as the 'Taj Mahal of Marwar' was also seen by them. It is not only a mausoleum for Maharaja Jaswant Singh II but also a royal cremation ground for the Rathore Dynasty. These historical monuments are rich sources of History which offer a window into the past to our young talents. This Heritage Venture fosters a sense of identity of one's roots and origin with an inherent intent to foster continuity.
