A Celebration of Imagination, Culture and Character at St. Anne’s Sr. Sec. School
St. Anne’s Sr. Sec. School once again came alive with colour, creativity, and youthful enthusiasm as the Middle Section hosted its much-awaited Costume Carnival for the academic session 2026–27. Held on 13th August 2026, the event brought together students of Classes 6 to 8, teachers, and distinguished judges for a memorable celebration of culture, creativity, and confidence.
The program began on a cheerful note with a welcoming address, setting the stage for a morning filled with vibrant costumes, expressive performances, and fascinating characters. The carnival provided students with an opportunity to step beyond the classroom and learn through creativity and presentation.
The performances were evaluated by two esteemed members of the school faculty:
Mrs. Sumita Sharma, Art Teacher, whose artistic expertise and appreciation of creativity added valuable insight to the judging process.
Mrs. Priya Kalla, Music Teacher, whose experience in music and performance brought a unique perspective to the panel.
A Colourful Journey Through Different Themes
Students of Class 6 presented a delightful glimpse of India's rich cultural heritage through regional costumes representing different parts of the country. The colourful presentation showcased the beauty and uniqueness of India's traditions. The students also appeared as members of various professions, portraying doctors, chefs, actors, reporters, magicians and other professionals who contribute to society in meaningful ways. Their presentation beautifully reflected the message of unity in diversity and respect for every profession.
The mood then shifted from tradition to fantasy as Class 7 transformed the stage into a lively world of superheroes, cartoon characters, and fictional personalities. Familiar faces such as Spider-Man, Hermoine Granger, Mr. Bean, Elsa, and Pokémon characters appeared in colourful and imaginative costumes. The students' confidence, expressions, and enthusiasm made this segment particularly entertaining for the audience.
Taking the audience back in time, Class 8 presented an inspiring collection of Indian freedom fighters, spiritual personalities and political leaders.
Through their costumes and portrayals, the students brought important figures from India's past closer to the present generation. Their performances highlighted courage, wisdom, patriotism and the enduring values associated with these remarkable personalities.
The carnival drew to a graceful close with words of appreciation for the judges, teachers, and students who contributed to its success. Every participant was applauded for demonstrating creativity, preparation, confidence, and enthusiasm.
More than a costume presentation, the Middle Section Costume Carnival 2026–27 became a vibrant learning experience.
