Mathematics Quiz Competition (Class X)

On Saturday, 17 September 2022, a Maths Quiz was held in St Anne's School for the students of class tenth. This Maths Quiz was organised under the supervision of Brijesh Sharma Sir and Deepak Kumar Singh Sir. The objective of this Maths Quiz was to test the mental ability and quantitative aptitude of the students in the maths subject. The programme was managed by the students of class twelfth C and twelfth D.
After lunch the students entered the auditorium. To promote 100% participation, all the students from each section participated in the quiz. There were all together 8 teams that participated.
The quiz started with a warm up round, in which the students were asked to write the first 25 prime numbers. In this round the students from different teams participated enthusiastically. One student from Team G answered the question earlier.
A total of 9 rounds was played in the quiz with 1 question from each team. These 9 rounds were based on different themes were:
Number system, Ratio & Proportion, Mensuration, Invention & Discovery and Cordinate Geometry. Every team had 3 opportunities to answer these questions.
There was a final round, attention meter round, which included the questions asked earlier in quiz so to insure that the students remain attentive during the quiz.
Students of Team F gave the maximum number of answers. This team had put in the maximum efforts. After which Team B, Team G & Team H made more efforts.
In the first attempt Team B took the first place with 95 points, by giving many answers. Ragya Jhakhad gave the maximum number of right answers. Apart from her Jayesh Pal and Prateek Ray contributed to their team's victory by giving right answers.
Team G with 90 points recieved the second position. Bharat Chaudhary answered the most number of questions, while Akanta Patel and Samit Mehariya also participated enthusiastically.
Akshat Singh Baghel, Divisha Singhvi and Lucky Suthar helped Team E to secure third position with 60 points.
It was a wonderful & unforgettable event.
