MATHEMATICS QUIZ

“A POET SPENDS HIS ENTIRE LIFE TRYING TO GET HIS HEAD IN HEAVEN BUT A MATHEMATICIAN TRIES TO GET HEAVEN IN HIS HEAD.”

The Inter-Class Mathematics Quiz for class X was held in Saint Anne’s Senior Secondary School Jodhpur. It was one of its kinds since each student of each section was the participant and each section of class X was a team itself. The students participated enthusiastically and put every effort to win the quiz. Each student was awarded marks individually for giving the correct answer to the presented problem though they were representing their teams.

The quiz was broadly divided into four categories like; Arithmetic, Geometry, Algebra and Identify the Personality. Each category was divided into several rounds. Arithmetic had four rounds namely: Number System, Ratio and Proportion, Mensuration Round One and Mensuration Round Two. Geometry had three rounds: Geometry Round One, Geometry Round Two and Visual Round.

Audience filled the auditorium with cheers and applauses when the questions were being thrown to the teams. Rounds like; Inventions and Discoveries, Identify the Personality and Visual Round lightened the mood up as the teams found the questions very interesting. Selection of the questions was done very carefully keeping the level of challenge as a priority.

The eagerly awaited results were announced in the end of the quiz.

The third position was bagged by Section-C with 95 points. The second position was secured by Section-G with 100 points and the winner of the Inter-Class Mathematics Quiz was Section-A with 130 points.

The auditorium was enthralled when the results were announced and the winner team gathered appreciation from the other teams and teachers. Teachers also admired the arrangements and the smooth conduct of the whole event made by the students of class XI.
